ABOUT

DEAR NORUMBEGA is the Maine-based musical project of Matt Corey (Songwriting, Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar), Alex Oakes (Electric Guitar), Aaron Taylor (Percussion), and Ian Jewett (Keyboards). They've been playing together in grange halls and each other's living rooms since 2019, and released their first single, Altar, in September 2025.

NORUMBEGA is the mythical city of gold which early explorers of Maine said could be found somewhere up the length of one of its long rivers. The city which is the longing of our hearts is the new city of God, which we long to see manifest in Maine, our homeland.
